Under President Bush's interpretation of article 51, cant Iran attack another country primitively? f you support it one way, what is wrong with others using the same interpretation as you?

And you in this context isn't you Seth, it just refers to those that believe in the whole concept of preemptive strikes.

Just a simple observation.

With all of the war games in the Gulf, it would appear as though a preemptive attack by Iran has more merit than the preemptive attack on Iraq.Subalternatehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17294820273892711205noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20537576.post-90169658543478159112007-06-12T14:15:00.000-07:002007-06-12T14:15:00.000-07:00I would have to agree with your assessment as well...I would have to agree with your assessment as well, Dr Weinberger. The problem, as I see it, is that while military and/or other aggressive action is a virtual non-starter at the moment, international diplomatic efforts have been outpaced by Iran's technical progress on the ground. Though at the moment they are far off from being a latent nuclear state, the more progress they do make, the less meaningful watered-down UN statements asking Tehran to suspend enrichment will become - and the less incentive Iran will have to listen.

The only problem now is that since you've linked to my site, I'm actually going to have to stop being lazy and post something new really soon! I didn't have access to my computer for over a week and was sick anyway so posting was not an option.

Maybe tonight...

-MattMDChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10997656241292833799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20537576.post-85885216099123720952007-06-12T05:12:00.000-07:002007-06-12T05:12:00.000-07:00Well said.Well said.Matt Eckelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01521606439967262492noreply@blogger.com
